{"id":43544,"date":"2012-10-05T00:00:43","date_gmt":"2012-10-05T00:00:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/namgar.com\/NAMGAR2020\/?p=43544"},"modified":"2012-10-05T00:00:43","modified_gmt":"2012-10-05T00:00:43","slug":"cape-to-cairo-update-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/namgar.com\/NAMGARMAIN\/cape-to-cairo-update-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Cape to Cairo &#8211; Update 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/namgar.com\/NAMGAR2020\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/C2CConcoursNairobi023_cropped-200x158-1.jpg\" alt=\"Cape to Cairo - Update 2\" width=\"200\" height=\"158\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-43545\" \/>The group of MGs continued their drive through Tanzania and southern Kenya, to arrive in Nairobi on September 28th.<\/p>\n<p>After the cars (and drivers!) had been cleaned up, and some mechanical issues were attended to, the cars appeared at the <em>CBA Concours d&#8217;Elegance<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The drivers (and cars!) had a well deserved 3-day rest in Nairobi.  They visited the Masai Mara Game Reserve, and on Wednesday (October 3rd) they were hosted at a BBQ at the Australian High Commissioner&#8217;s Residence.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/namgar.com\/NAMGAR2020\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/C2CConcoursNairobi030_resized.jpg\" alt=\"RIP\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-43546\" srcset=\"https:\/\/namgar.com\/NAMGARMAIN\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/C2CConcoursNairobi030_resized.jpg 500w, https:\/\/namgar.com\/NAMGARMAIN\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/C2CConcoursNairobi030_resized-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/namgar.com\/NAMGAR2020\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/C2CConcoursNairobi051_resized.jpg\" alt=\"Concours\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-43547\" srcset=\"https:\/\/namgar.com\/NAMGARMAIN\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/C2CConcoursNairobi051_resized.jpg 500w, https:\/\/namgar.com\/NAMGARMAIN\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/C2CConcoursNairobi051_resized-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Thursday saw them head north again through Kenya and Ethiopia.  This is probably the worst stretch of roads on their trip.
