My thanks to our chapter members, the NAMGAR Board, and staff for the warm welcome as I begin serving as Membership Chair.
We are especially grateful for the personal email responses from so many chapter presidents and members. Their kind words were a reminder that NAMGAR is built on fellowship and our shared love of the MGA, Magnette, and variants.
One of NAMGAR’s strengths is how local chapters and the national Register work together. Chapters provide the personal side of the hobby through local drives, friendships, technical help, and regional events. The national Register broadens that experience by connecting members with a larger community and offering resources, visibility, and services that local chapters cannot always provide on their own.
The national Register also offers valuable individual benefits. Membership includes a sought-after dash plaque with your own unique number recorded in the historical archive; six issues each year of the award-winning MGA! magazine; access to members-only website content with hundreds of pages of reports, technical information, and a for sale or trade center; plus, helpful historical, travel, and event resources.
Every new member who has not been a NAMGAR member in the last 12 months receives 6 months free when they join. That is 9 issues of the award winning MGA! magazine for the price of 6, plus 6 extra months of membership. If you know a friend with an MGA, Magnette, or variant, encourage them to join before the sale ends!
Please also encourage anyone who sells an MGA, Magnette, or variant to invite the new owner to join NAMGAR. When the buyer joins, both seller and buyer receive six extra months of membership at no charge, including three additional issues of MGA!. It is an easy way to welcome new enthusiasts and strengthen the Register.
The opportunity is real. Last month, nearly 100 MGAs were offered for sale in the United States, and 54 were sold by private individuals, many likely NAMGAR members. Each sale is a chance to welcome a new owner into the fellowship, knowledge, and support that make NAMGAR special. Thank you again for your warm welcome and for helping grow the next generation of NAMGAR members.
