It has been an amazing winter season this year with low temperatures and lots of SNOW. I personally can’t wait for the driving season to begin. With most of my MGs ready to roll, this coming year is stacking up to be exceptional. I hope everyone has been as busy as me in getting all the maintenance done on your MGs in preparation for this year. The 2026 schedule lineup is proving to be busy.

To start off the year, we have a NAMGAR Regional down south in Florida. You may have read about this Regional in the most recent issue of MGA! Magazine. It looks to be a very interesting gathering, especially if you are into space travel instead of on four wheels. Being held in Cape Canaveral, the home of rocket launches, it is guaranteed to be interesting and informative. Hopefully the weather will be a little warmer than this past winter. If interested, don’t delay registering as soon as possible.

Second: We’ll be hosting another Regional in May out west in Arizona. So, saddle up and dust off that old cowboy hat to get ready for a rootin’ tootin’ good time. The host club will be the Arizona MG Club, which we are pleased to support. Information on this regional can be found in this issue of MGA! Magazine. This will be a welcome break from the cold and snow of the past winter – I think you will agree.

Third: The MG Car Club Rocky Mountain Centre in Colorado will be hosting a NAMGAR Regional in June. Looking to get back to the majestic and beautiful Rocky Mountains? Here is your chance. If you love driving through the mountains with the top down as much as I do, then the time to register is now. There’s nothing better than the clean crisp air of the Rockies while cruising in an MGA. Information on this Regional is also in this issue of MGA!

Now for the BIG ONE! MG International 2026. I for one am looking forward to attending. It should prove to be one of the biggest gatherings in many years, with MG models from across the ages. Everything from prewar MGs to the latest modern MG, but the real interest will be the MGAs of course. There’s a lot to sign up for and lots to see. Do not postpone your registration as activities will fill up quickly and you don’t want to miss out. Hope to see all my old friends there and make many more. If we haven’t met please introduce yourself to me as I can’t have too many MG friends.

See you on the back roads and Safety Fast!

P.S. We’re still looking for a NAMGAR Chapter to host GT-53 and GT-54. So, if interested in saving yourself the drive and would like to show off your neck of the woods let me know!
