Every Car Has a Story: A Happy Ending

Every Car Has a Story: A Happy EndingIn the first article about this car, George Kress described the fascinating discovery of an unrestored MGA which had been stored outside under a tarp and hadn’t been driven for more than forty five years.

The restoration of George’s MGA has now been completed and, as promised, the original owner has had a ride in her “old” car – photos of the completed car and the previous owner are shown below:

The sale is now complete and the car went back home to England. As happens when a car is shipped over the pond things go wrong. The person who showed up to pick up the car did not speak English and he had an open car carrier. He put the car on the lower level of the trailer and was going to put another car above the MGA. Who knows what is going to drip on the canvas top and the driver was not interested in how to start the car or open the hood. Good luck to the buyer on getting the car to England in one piece.
