From the Chairman

Hello there! Come on in and take a look at us.

We are the North American MGA Register or NAMGAR as most folks like to call us. We are a club of enthusiasts of the MGA, an MG model that was produced in England from 1955 through 1962. We also are home to the MG Magnette sedan of the same period, plus other variants of MG.

We consist of a worldwide membership comprised of 2000 plus folks who love all things MG. Volunteers from the ranks of our club hold one of five offices on the Board of Directors, or assist as part of a staff of nineteen.

Our goal is to promote the restoration, preservation, and enjoyment of MG cars, especially the MGA, Magnette, and other variants.

Our club maintains an extensive database of these cars. Although incomplete, we strive to add more information on cars as we learn of their existence. So, if you know of a car or own one, please contact our Registrar to let us know the car exists. You or the owners do not have to be NAMGAR members.

If you are looking to buy or sell parts or a car, NAMGAR can be an excellent resource. We have an active market place that reaches folks worldwide.

We invite you to become a member of the North American MGA Register. Our membership offers you access to a “members only” part of the website, a subscription to an award winning magazine (MGA!, published bi-monthly), technical advice, and an opportunity to join other MG folks at some very fun events! Plus, you don’t have to own an MG to become a member!

Annually, since our formation back in 1975, we have a get together (GT) which is held for a few days in either the USA or Canada. We meet at different locations to enjoy the MG marque with drives, technical seminars, area entertainment, and just plain fun with like minded folk. Heck, some of our membership drive thousands of miles to attend, form rallyes along the way, or to caravan together making the travel getting there a fun experience!

NAMGAR works closely with local clubs and chapters throughout North America and we encourage you to seek out a club or chapter near you. Many of our membership belong to an all British club, making it fun to share your passion with others. Take a look at our calendar of events to check out what is happening near you but also around the country.

There is definitely something magical about an MGA or Magnette. For no matter where you are, folks will undoubtedly start telling you the story behind the MG that they once owned, or their relative, or friend. NAMGAR is a family and we are excited to see the family grow and expand with new members. When you join NAMGAR, you will discover that it’s “The cars that get you there, but it’s the people that keep you coming back!”.
