Reid Trummel is the editor of MGA! magazine.
He owns a 1962 MGA 1600 Mark II, but he has been a British car guy for over 50 years and has owned examples of numerous marques in addition to MG, including Austin-Healey, Triumph, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Lotus, Sunbeam, and Morgan.
He has been heavily involved in the British car hobby at many levels and in many ways, and has over 30 years collective experience producing national car club magazines going back to 1984.
Reid has held club offices from president of a national British car club (for six years straight!) to vice-president of local clubs, and he is currently president of the Columbia Gorge MG Club based in Portland, Oregon. That club hosted GT-49 in July 2024.
Reid has also founded and chaired large annual British car events, from national to local levels, including creating and chairing the annual Tampa Bay All British Field Meet & Autojumble in 1987.
He also recently accepted an invitation to join the Board of Directors of the British Sports Car Hall of Fame, and has been a moderator at the British Car Forum since its inception in 2000.
Reid has been a contributing writer to Sports Car Market magazine for almost 20 years, and his writing and photos have appeared in many publications from Road & Track to the book Rule Britannia to numerous local club newsletters.
His goal as editor of MGA! is to apply his experience and enthusiasm to produce a magazine you’ll always look forward to.
