Ohio State BuckAyes Nominate Jeff Fields for Renkenberger Spirit Award

We would like nominate Jeff Fields for the Renkenberger Spirit Award. Jeff has been the glue that holds the MG Community together in Northern Ohio and throughout the state ever since most of us can remember.

His frequent emails provide information on what is happening in the MG world, what is for sale, what is needed. He is also the “go to” guy if you need a part or advice; if he doesn’t know where to find the part or the advice, he will put it out to his vast email contact list and someone will come up with assistance. Jeff always is the first to greet a new face at any car event. Jeff supports NAMGAR, the Ohio BuckAyes, and various other MG groups he belongs to at every opportunity. He always has NAMGAR information and membership forms, and knows the contacts for whatever club the MG owner might want to contact.

Jeff has increased the attendance at BuckAye and MG events because of this enthusiasm for the marque. Jeff has also been known to crew for a local MGA racer. Jeff also develops a calendar of MG events both in the area and national events that may interest us. He makes this available to every one in early spring every year and updates it throughout the driving season. Jeff also sponsors Pub Runs from time to time. These always end at a Pub that serves either Old Speckled Hen or Guinness, sometimes both. Jeff always asks if he can help out at any event he attends. Jeff puts a lot of miles on his own stable of MGs attending events and always encourages other Buck-Ayes to attend with him.

Jeff is never without a good word to any MG fan and promotes MGs, MG clubs and MG owners wherever he goes.
