Jennifer Orum Recognized by Canadian Classic MG Club
The Canadian Classic MG Club in Vancouver, BC, presented Jennifer Orum with the NAMGAR Spirit Award in June 2017. This is a NAMGAR Chapter Club Award in recognition of Jennifer’s contribution to the CCMGC over the past 15 years.
Jennifer Orum joined the CCMGC in 2001, and soon after she acquired her 1970 MGB Roadster. She became a member of NAMGAR in 2010 because she “likes the people.” She has also been a member of the Jaguar Clubs of North America for a number of years.
Her work for the CCMGC has included being the Club’s award winning magazine editor, and she is currently on the Executive Committee as the Club Secretary. She has also been involved as the chief organizer of the Club’s major annual event, the Heritage Show and Slalom.
Jennifer has her car maintained by a mechanic on Vancouver Island, and although the car is in lovely condition, she is not afraid to drive it to NAMGAR Get Together events all over North America. This has included cross country trips from Vancouver to Ottawa, Ontario; Frankenmuth, Michigan; and Louisville, Kentucky. She usually drives solo, and her car has garnered many awards in the MGB class at NAMGAR GTs.
Jennifer is also a member of NAMGBR, the MG Club Northwest Centre in Seattle, the Sorry Safari Club in San Francisco, and the MG Owners Club of Northern California.
