Another Option for 5-Speed MGA using Mazda Miata Gearbox

As we reported in eNews! in 2016, Vitesse Ltd in the UK were developing a kit to mate a Mazda Miata 5-speed gearbox to an MGB. Now they have released kits for alll models of MGA. The current price is GB Pounds 2,400, ex-works.

The kits include a new Mazda gearbox, the bell housing for either low or high starter (specify), clutch disc, concentric slave cylinder and roller release bearing, propshaft, speedo cable, gear lever and knob, tailshaft housing with mechanical speedo drive, and the gearbox mounting. Complete fitting instructions are included.

Vitesse Ltd can be contacted by email, and tech information is on their website. They do not have a partner in North America, but can deliver a kit and gearbox in 5 to 7 days to your door for GB Pounds 350.
