North Carolina MG Car Club
Website
The North Carolina MG Car Club is an All British car club with 171 currently active, registered members and 39 MGA owned by currently active members. The Club started when Paul Linney started making cold calls using a list of 5000 names he received from the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles of everyone that owed MGs in North Carolina covering all 1958 through 1980 MGAs, MGBs and Midgets. The North Carolina MG Car Club was officially established in 1988, the first meeting at 12-14 people in attendance.
The Club organizes several annual events including a Coastal Tour in the spring, a Mountain Tour in the fall, a Lake Tour in early fall, a Winery tour in the fall and an All British Car and Motorcycle show in May. Monthly club breakfasts are held at the local Golden Corral and we hold regular tech sessions advisertsed in our club magazine “Quadriga.”
Our monthly Nogging and Natters, which include a business meeting, are held at a Club Member’s home. Typically these meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month, though we do sometimes have them on Saturdays based on the host and hostess availability.
It’s an awesome club with great people and great cars!
