NAMGAR Members Planning North American-Wide Trip in their MGAIn June 2011, Steve and Sheila Kaufman from the Canadian Classic MG Club will start the road trip of their dreams. Traveling in their 1961 MGA Roadster, they will leave Vancouver, BC, for a three to four month trip covering the US and Canada from west to east and north to south.

Their first event will be MG2011/GT-36 in Reno, NV, in the middle of June. From there, they will cruise the west coast to San Diego, then east through Yuma, AZ, into Texas following the Gulf Coast. Then down to Key West, FL, via New Orleans, LA.

They turn north up the east coast of the US taking in the Dragon’s Tail and Blue Ridge Mountains along the way. Crossing back into Canada by way of New Brunswick, they will visit Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland.

Kaufman's MGATheir route and timing are completely flexible, and they are asking MG Clubs and NAMGAR members to email them with suggestions of MG friendly roads, and MG events, along their route that they might attend. They also invite MG drivers to join them for all or part of their voyage. From Vancouver they will be accompanied by Richard Loeppky and Linde Schoepper in their 1966 MGB Roadster.

We hope they will send us regular reports on their experiences, which we will share with NAMGAR.com visitors through 2011.
